This conference addressed the major challenge which the transatlantic partnership is currently facing: How to overcome the economic and the climate crises at the same time? Participants discussed common ground and future challenges for transatlantic energy and climate cooperation on three levels:  the local level; the state and federal level; and at the international climate negotiations. Speakers from Europe and the U.S. also discussed the new report Toward a New Climate Network: Transatlantic Solutions for a Low Carbon Economy .Together with the report the conference concluded the Transatlantic Climate Policy Group, a 2-year-program undertaken by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung.
