Next Steps in Arms Control: Nuclear Weapons, Missile Defense, and NATO

On November 8, the Arms Control Association and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung hosted a conference where a range of national and international experts offered their insights on the future of arms control.

Speakers included New START Chief Negotiator Rose Gottemoeller; Joan Rohlfing, Nuclear Threat Initiative; and Amb. Richard Burt, START I Chief Negotiator.  International speakers included Marek Szczygiel, Polish Department of Foreign Affairs; Jiri Sedivy, former NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defense Policy and Planning; and Eugene Miasnikov, Moscow Center for Arms Control, Energy, and Environmental Studies; among other U.S. and international experts.
