Did you know that multilateral climate funds approved US$1.7 billion in 2016, with more than one billion coming from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) alone? Or that climate funds are increasingly diversifying the financial instruments they use? Or that the cost of damages caused by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti this year alone exceeds eightfold the climate finance amount that the Caribbean has received from 2003 – 2016, while adaptation finance overall continues to lag behind? I've read quite a lot

I've read quite a lot recently into climate finance and the biggest problem is determining the progress made towards the goal. Countries have never agreed on what exactly constitutes climate finance!
