Alexandra Endres
Journalist, ZEIT ONLINE

Alexandra Endres is a journalist and economist, currently working as an editor and reporter for ZEIT ONLINE, the online edition of German weekly Die ZEIT. Her work focuses on climate, energy and environmental issues, human rights, development, and Latin America. She regularly covers the U.N. climate summit. Her articles are published in ZEIT ONLINE and Die ZEIT – and she just finished her first book (about Colombia). Alexandra earned her degree in Journalism at Kölner Journalistenschule, in Cologne, and her diploma in Economics at Cologne University. She also studied in Argentina, and has worked as a researcher in Mexico and as a journalist in countries such as Colombia, Jordan, Haiti and Bolivia.

Endres will use her fellowship to travel to Virginia and Washington DC, where she will explore the Clean Power Plan, the town of Norfolk’s sea level rise adaptation preparations, and coal communities in Wise County.
