Jakob Hagenberg is a pro-democracy, pro-choice and climate activist based in Passau. He studied European Studies at University of Amsterdam and Governance and Public Policy at university of Passau. In Amsterdam and Passau he has worked in several climate justice groups, co-organizing rallies, campaigns, and public events. Given the appalling lack of abortion access in Lower Bavaria, he worked in the campaign "Passau for choice", lobbying for abortion access in Passau's public hospital. He has taken part in antifascist campaigns in Passau, organizing rallies and doing PR work against the far-right AfD party.

He wrote his Master's thesis about injustices in the governance of climate engineering and aspires to work towards a just transition into an ecologically and socially sustainable society.
