10 things to know about climate finance in 2015

Did you know that developing countries are outpacing developed countries in clean energy investments? And that they are using ever increasing amounts of domestic public resources to pay for climate action, in some countries as much as 15% of their budget? Or that funding for climate actions climate in small island developing states (SIDS) are finally growing, with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) emerging as a significant new player? That the GCF is working faster in its first year after resource mobilization than any of the other public multilateral climate funds before it? And that a large percentage of adaptation investments in 2015 focused on making infrastructure more climate-resilient? These are just some of the “10 things to know about climate finance in 2015.
