Objective: To increase the quality, quantity and diversity of apprenticeship in our members on a voluntary basis and, as appropriate to national circumstances.
- Establish national goals or targets to develop, expand and improve apprenticeship programs
- Raise the quality of apprenticeship; Promote apprenticeship programs in a broad array of occupations and sectors
- Foster the engagement of businesses in the apprentice systems, make apprenticeship more attractive to employers
- Ensure that apprenticeship programs offer good working and training conditions; Implement initiatives to raise the awareness and highlight the benefits of apprenticeship among enterprises, guidance counselors, job seekers, and the general population
- Improve access to quality apprenticeship for disadvantaged
- Strengthen partnerships between businesses and vocational schools in apprenticeship programs design, delivery and certification
- Support programs to upgrade informal apprenticeship and to facilitate the inclusion of informal apprentices to the formal economy
- Expand quality apprenticeship globally
