Annalena Baerbock, board member of the European Green Party and spokeswoman of the Federal Association Europe of the German Green Party, will visit Washington, DC from June 20th to June 24th, 2011.

Biography

Annalena Baerbock received her Vordiplom in political science and public law from the University of Hamburg before continuing her Master’s degree in international law in London. After some time at the Council of Europe and at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, she is currently enrolled in a doctorate program in international law at the Freie Universitaet Berlin.
Annalena Baerbock joined the Green Party in 2004. She is spokeswoman of the Federal Association Europe (Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Europa) and on the board of the European Green Party. In 2009, she was elected as the Green chairperson for Brandenburg, Germany. Her thematic emphases lie on economic- and socio-political topics as well as on labor market policy, Europe, anti-discrimination, home affairs and democracy.
