Ulrike Seidel joined the Washington office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation as Assistant to the Executive Director and Office Manager in September 2008. Prior to her engagement with the Foundation, Ulrike studied at the Freie Universität Berlin where she received her Master of Arts in North American Studies at the John-F.-Kennedy Institute in 2008. During her studies, Ulrike focused on transatlantic relations and issues of American cultural and social studies. As part of her minor in sociology, Ulrike worked as an assistant in a three-year research project on “Xenophobia and Ethnic Conflicts among Juvenile Delinquents,” which was sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and conducted at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.
