Anna Cavazzini is a German member of the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA group since 2019. She represents constituencies in Saxony and Saxony-anhalt, neighbouring the Polish and Czech borders. In the ninth legislative term of the European Parliament, she chaired the EP Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). She was the Vice chair of the EP's Brazil delegation, and part of the International Trade Committee. Anna co-leaded the German Green delegation.
Anna focuses on changing trade policy to make it fair and sustainable, including by ensuring that trade agreements are fully compatible with the Greens Deal and its aims. She works to build a circular economy within and beyond the EU. She has a specific interest in Central and Latin America. Before being elected, Anna worked at the UN on the Sustainable Development Goals, in the German Foreign Ministry and in several NGOs. She holds degrees in European Studies and International Relations.
