Tatiyahna is a fourth-year Jefferson Scholar studying Global Commerce and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. She is originally from southeastern Virginia, but recently moved to her heritage hometown of Philadelphia. At UVA, she is involved with African-American history advocacy through the university Guide Service. She is also a member of X-Tasee Dance Crew and is a former executive member of the Queer Student Union. She is passionate about increasing material resources for low-income and marginalized people. After graduation, she hopes to enter the legal field and work in progressive labor law.
