Her work focuses on the intersection between foreign policy, national security, and politics, and how policy issues impact people around the world. Besides the United States, she has reported from Central America, Central Asia, Western Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Southeast Asia, and the United Kingdom. She has a master's degree from University College London's School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
