Sophie Schäffer is Chief of Staff to MdB Niklas Wagener of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. In this capacity, she also serves as Policy Advisor for defense policy. Previously, Sophie worked for the German Ministry of Defense, the German Foreign Office, the German Council on Foreign Relations, and the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy. Sophie advocates for the leadership and professional development of women in the field of international peace and security as a member of Women in International Security. Sophie holds a Master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po Paris, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
