Dr. René Wildangel headed the Heinrich Böll Foundation's office in Ramallah from the beginning of 2012 until September 2015. The historian conducted research at the Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO) in Berlin and worked as a consultant at the Federal Foreign Office and as a foreign policy advisor for the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
