Lara Buchwald is the Foundation's Climate Policy & Communications intern. Prior to joining the Heinrich Böll team in Washington, DC, she held a position in Business Development and Strategic Marketing at SMA Solar Technology AG. Additionally, she completed an internship at the Economic Section of the US Embassy in Berlin, where her primary focus was on energy and trade policies. Lara’s dedication to the transatlantic dialogue and diplomacy is further reflected in her involvement with the Youth Advisory Council of the US Consulate General in Frankfurt and the Young Transatlantic Initiative, where she actively contributes to strengthening US-German relations.

Currently, Lara is pursuing a Master’s degree in American Culture and Business Studies at the University of Kassel, with a special academic focus on US politics, culture, and history, as well as sustainability and marketing.
