Elizabeth Orembo leads International and Regional Engagement at Research ICT Africa, where her work traces how structural and institutional conditions determine whether African digital transformation ambitions translate into meaningful outcomes across AI governance, data governance, and information integrity. In Kenya, she is a board member of KICTANet, chairs the Africa Tech Policy Summit and the Kenya Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Committee, and serves on the Technical Committee developing the country's AI policy. That work extends into continental and global processes: she has convened African stakeholders on AI governance, WSIS, and the Global Digital Compact, and actively engages the UN Global Dialogue on AI Governance and UN-led cyber capacity processes. Liz is also part of the Freedom Online Coalition Advisory Network
