Danai Hazel Kudya is a Zimbabwean  human rights and governance lawyer. She is the founder of Africa Governance and Civic Innovation Hub (AGCIH), an independent governance institution based in Harare, Zimbabwe. Her work sits at the intersection of public law, institutional design, and AI governance, with a focus on how public authorities can remain lawful, supervised, and accountable as AI enters justice, health, and public administration. With over sixteen years of experience across Zimbabwe and Liberia, including human rights and institutional accountability work with the United Nations in Liberia, she develops governance approaches grounded in African public administration. Her current work explores the institutional conditions required for responsible AI deployment in public institutions, including the concept of Administrative Hosting Capacity.
