Tayamika Eunice Maganga is a human rights educator and media professional based in Malawi. As a Junior Consultant with the Council of Europe's Human Rights Education for Youth (HEY) programme, she has facilitated Media and Information Literacy sessions with young people across 12 countries in Africa around topics such as new technologies including AI, algorithmic bias, surveillance and data sovereignty. These sessions have been delivered to participants who often represent communities that are left out of such discussions in the mainstream. As producer and presenter at Story Club FM, she reaches listeners using media, art and storytelling to foster conversations around human rights, including digital rights, in everyday spaces. Tayamika brings together experience in human rights education, community radio and grassroots advocacy to AI governance dialogue.
