Anna left the Heinrich Böll Foundation North America to pursue her Juris Doctor at the UCLA School of Law. She has been succeeded in her capacity as Office & Communcations Manager, Assistant to the Executive Director by Lauren Edwards.

Anna Fero worked at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Washington, DC from August 2012 - July 2014. Anna was responsible for the public profile of the Heinrich Böll Foundation North America, including the website, newsletter, and PR. She managed communications and outreach and was the first point of contact for media inquiries.  Anna also managed office operations, oversaw the internship program and application process, and provided support to the Executive Director.

Prior to joining the Heinrich Böll Foundation in August 2012, Anna gained work experience at The Defender Association of Seattle, the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Washington, the U.S. Consulate General in Hamburg Germany, and the U.S. House of Representatives. She completed dual BA degrees in English and Political Science at the University of Washington. A German-American dual national, Anna is an advocate for transatlantic dialogue and cooperation.
