Arnika is an AI and digital policy advisor in the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA group. As part of her work, she has negotiated a number of digital flagship laws over the past years, notably the Ai Act and the Digital Services Act. In addition to her work in the internal market and consumer protection Committee, she has also been associated with the Inquiry Committee on the Abuse of Spyware and the European Democracy Shield Special Committee. At the moment her focus lies on the preparation of the Digital Fairness Act, as well as shaping the EU' digital sovereignty agenda from a green and human rights perspective. She has been part of a number of diplomatic missions with Members of the EP, including to the US (White House Office of Technology Policy, Congress, State Department, USTR), Taiwan (President and Foreign Minister) and China. Before her station in the Parliament, Arnika worked as a journalist in Vienna, followed by brief stops in the diplomatic field, at the UN and Austrian Council Presidency. Arnika is a German citizen, but grew up in Vienna, Austria. After her Master studies (Intl Relations and New Media/Digital Culture) in Utrecht, Netherlands and a pit stop in Berlin, she has been living in Brussels since 2021.
