Clara is an environmental activist and community-organizer. She has organized protests for sea-rescue NGOs, co-founded Extinction Rebellion Leipzig and is currently a press spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion Germany. During her studies at the University of Leipzig she‘s been a DAAD scholarship holder and worked as a teaching assistant for the Department of Cultural Sociology. Currently, she is writing her bachelor thesis on the media discourse of „Fridays For Future“in Germany. She presented some of her findings at the IPB- conference on social movements in November. She has been an intern at Rutgers WPF, a women's advocacy NGO in Jakarta, and set up the Zero Waste Advocate Network, a project of the SHRUB Co-op in Edinburgh. She is currently working as a group facilitator for the Schwarzkopf-Stiftung, giving courses on Asylum law and the EU.
