Danait Girma is an Advisor at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, with experience spanning the full technology stack from foundational infrastructure to digital public infrastructure, digital public services and AI governance. She has worked across large-scale telecom infrastructure rollout, e-government service delivery, and national AI policy and capacity-building. She advises on the design and implementation of responsible, inclusive, and principled approaches to AI, with a focus on practical adoption in government and public institutions. Through the Center for AI and Digital Policy's Global Majority team, she contributes to international AI governance discourse and comparative policy analysis, helping shape locally grounded but internationally aligned approaches for the Global South. Combining technical grounding, policy insight, and delivery experience, Danait bridges strategy and implementation across digital transformation initiatives. She holds an MSc in Computer Science with a Data Science concentration and has completed certifications in AI governance and related fields.
