Daniel Peter is director of The Hague-based NGO Release Peace, which works in the space of international security and conflict prevention. Daniel regularly holds lectures and workshops at leading universities in the US and Europe on international security, advocacy, and small arms proliferation.

Prior to founding Release Peace, he worked in the investment management industry in The Netherlands and Germany for 9 years, such as at subsidiaries of Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. During that time, he focused on sustainability and human rights criteria (ESG) in investment portfolios. Daniel holds a BA International Studies from Leiden University and a MSc Human Geography from the University of Amsterdam.
