Hannah Winnick has been the Executive Director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Washington, DC since 2022. From 2020 to 2022, she served first as Manager and then Deputy Director of Global Programs, Europe at the Obama Foundation, where she designed and launched the “Obama Leaders - Europe” Program. From 2015 to 2020, Hannah was the founding director of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Washington, DC’s Transatlantic Democracy Program, which brings together US and European policymakers and civil society leaders to tackle shared challenges to democracy. 

Hannah holds a Bachelor in Political Science from Amherst College and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where she focused on international negotiation and conflict resolution. She lives with her wife and son in Washington, DC.
