Katie Rogers is the climate and energy intern at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung in Washington, DC, and she recently completed a Master of Arts in German and European Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. With her B.A. in German and History, Katie has been very interested in German-American relations, especially as they pertain to democracy and electoral politics.
As a graduate student, Katie conducted archival research to support a Georgetown professor with book projects involving liberal democracy and political polarization. She also interned with the Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative, where she tracked state-driven Russian media narratives meant to undermine democracy in Eastern Europe. At the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, she is currently responsible for assisting the foundation’s directors with publications and projects on climate democracy and misinformation, as well as for performing administrative tasks.
