Kira Phleps is a psychology student and elected university representative at the University of Trier. She serves as a Senator and President of the Student Parliament, focusing on democratic engagement, inclusive education, and accessibility in academic life. Living with a congenital mobility impairment, Kira is deeply committed to disability rights and supports other students with disabilities in their educational paths. Her academic interests include social psychology, digital radicalization, and the psychological mechanisms that undermine or protect democratic societies. She is also a statistics tutor and currently writing her bachelor thesis on affective change in psychotherapy using experience sampling methods. Kira brings a strong intersection of psychological insight, lived experience, and political advocacy to the dialogue on digital democracy.
