Mariama Baldé is the Program Director for Global Dialogue at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Washington, DC. She has over 14 years of experience in international cooperation, media development, and human rights, with a focus on political and social developments across the Majority World.

Before joining the foundation, she worked as an Advisor with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Germany, Cameroon, and Togo, served as Program Director Côte d'Ivoire at Deutsche Welle, and later worked at the National Endowment for Democracy and the Goethe-Institut in Washington, DC.

She holds a German-French law degree and an LL.M. in international law and human rights. Having lived and worked on three continents, she is committed to advancing inclusive, rights-based approaches to global policy challenges.
