Marieke Schöning currently works as policy advisor to MP Misbah Khan of the Green Party in the German Bundestag. Her focus lies on topics of migration, social cohesion, and strategies against right-wing extremism. Previously, Marieke has lived in France, India and Lebanon, and has taken on various roles within the non-profit organization Über den Tellerrand, among others a five-month-long tour through German small towns with a kitchen built into a shipping container. She still serves as member of the board for Über den Tellerrand, and holds a Master of Science in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam as well as a Bachelor of Arts in European Cultural History and German Studies.
