Neele Amalie Hartel is the Foreign Policy and Democracy Intern at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Washington, DC. Neele is responsible for assisting the directors of the Transatlantic Democracy Program and the Foreign & Security Policy Program on current projects including ongoing publications and study tours. Additionally, she supports the Office Manager’s operations through administrative contributions.

Neele is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Sociology and Public Law at the University of Bonn. Prior to joining the foundation as an intern, she worked as a student assistant at the Center for Global Studies Bonn.

She is particularly interested in human rights, feminist foreign policy, minority rights, the influence of personality on international politics, and the role of international organizations in international relations.
