Philipp Kuehl (he/him) runs the Global Development Policy program which contributes to the office’s work on global structural change and transatlantic dialogue on a sustainable, democratic, equitable and human rights-based approach to development.
Prior to joining the foundation’s Washington, DC office, Philipp held a variety of staff positions at the German Agency for Development Cooperation (GIZ). For many years he has lived and worked in Africa and Asia where he fostered change processes and capacity development at the intersection of climate change, urbanization and social inclusion. Philipp believes in the power of peer learning and exchange and has received various trainings in facilitation and working with stakeholder dialogues.
He holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Potsdam.
