
Ruken Adin, a human rights advocate with a background in law, was born in Turkey as a Kurdish woman. Her work focuses on grassroots feminism, post-colonial feminism, historical justice, reconciliation, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding. She has been selected for internationally recognized platforms and programs, including prestigious leadership initiatives. Combining her legal expertise with evidence-based advocacy, Ruken continues to promote gender equality, conflict transformation, and peace, working both locally and through international human rights protection mechanisms. She is also actively involved in projects dedicated to advancing human rights, gender equality, and combating gender-based violence. Currently, she makes significant contributions to peace, justice, equality, conflict resolution, and the fight against gender-based violence through both academic and civil society work.
