Sahar is a first-year grad student of the Master’s in Public Administration programme at Central European University. She previously worked in research and project management in Pakistan and Sudan, working with not-for-profit think-and-do tanks and legal-aid charities. During this period, Sahar focused on projects relating to police reform, public-private partnerships for education, and repealing death penalty laws in Pakistan. Prior to this, after completing her Bachelor's in English Literature, Sahar worked as a newsroom reporter and page manager at news agencies; Sudan Vision and Pakistan Today.
