Sara Méndez Niebles is a lawyer, with an LLM degree in International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law from the University of El Rosario. In 2019, she was an intern for the Inter-American Human Rights Commission in Washington D.C. Through strategic litigation, research, education, and advocacy, Sara, has worked on issues related to gender-based violence, human rights in the context of public manifestations, LGTBQI+ people's rights, sexual and reproductive rights, and the rights of people with disabilities. Currently, Sara works as the Legal and Advocacy advisor at La Mesa por la Vida y la Salud de las Mujeres.
