Sofiia Shevchuk is a Brussels-based independent researcher, analyst, and project manager with 6+ years of experience in foreign policy and diplomacy with a particular focus on gender, environment, security and a nexus between them in the European Union, NATO, Central and Eastern Europe. Extensive interest and expertise in feminist foreign policy, gender mainstreaming, and concepts of intersectionality, diversity equity and inclusion in foreign policy, diplomacy, conflict, and development.
She previously worked as a researcher and project manager on topics related to feminist foreign policy, WPS agenda and climate diplomacy for MEP Dr Hannah Neumann at the European Parliament, at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Sofiia is a member of the Steering Committee, in charge of a mentorship program, with the Women in International Security Brussels and managing strategic (web-)development for The Brussels Binder.
