Sophie Draeger is the Energy and Climate Intern at the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Washington, DC. She is responsible for assisting the foundation’s directors with publications and projects on transatlantic climate democracy and energy policies. In addition, she supports the Office Manager’s operations through administrative contributions.
Sophie recently graduated from her Bachelor’s degree in European Studies at Maastricht University with a specialisation in Policy-Making and holds a Minor in Development Studies from the University of Portsmouth. She previously worked and interned for the UNHRC and Fondation Follereau as well as being actively involved in youth politics. She is particularly interested in emission pricing, energy taxation and the role of gender in the climate change discourse. After gaining more practical experience, she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Policy starting in Fall 2024.
