Stephanie Joyce reports on energy and natural resources for Wyoming Public Radio and Inside Energy. Before joining WPR, she was the news director at KUCB, a public radio station in Alaska's Aleutian Islands, where she covered Arctic drilling and the Bering Sea fisheries. Stephanie is a former Metcalf Institute Science Reporting fellow and a 2014 Middlebury Environmental Journalism fellow.
Stephanie reported from Denmark for a series on grid reliability. She visited the EcoGrid EU project on the island of Bornholm to learn about the integration of renewable energy into the power supply and demand-side technologies that allow citizens to tailor their energy consumption. She explored whether aspects of the Danish government’s smart grid strategy might be applicable to the U.S. grid.
This fellowship was part of the EU funded Transatlantic Energy and Climate Network project.
