Tiara Shaya is a research associate for the Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Washington, D.C. and a member of the Middle East Next Generation of Arms Control Specialists. She was previously a research intern with the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Peace and Security Initiative and a visiting researcher for the Arab Institute for Security Studies in Amman, Jordan where she focused on the Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone in the Middle East. She holds a BA from Taylor University, where she double majored in Political Science and International Studies, concentrating on the Middle East.
