Zar Motik Adisuryo is an AI governance researcher and cyber policy practitioner from Indonesia, focusing on online disinformation, infrastructural AI systems design, digital development, and technology governance of developing countries. She has led policy initiatives alongside high level executives and civil servants in Southeast Asia at a global non-profit organization to advance AI safety and governance capacity building programs, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Previously, she conducted research at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva under the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) on fostering inclusive digital transformation and online child protection policymaking. She has engaged with global platforms such as Paris Peace Forum, UNICEF, and OSCE. Zar holds a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., specializing in global cyber governance and systems design and thinking, and is an incoming postgraduate student at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford in 2026.
