Shilpa Jindia is a freelance writer, researcher and editor based in Washington DC working on issues of conflict, human rights, and culture. She is also incorporating film work into her career, and currently serves as a researcher on a documentary for PBS. She previously served as Co-Editor of the openSecurity section of openDemocracy for three years, and has worked with a variety of NGOs, think tanks and non-profits. Shilpa has lived abroad in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, South Africa and the UK, and holds an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics.
