COP31
Climate Change Conference in Antalya, Türkiye
COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye comes at a vital time for the climate: worse and worse climate disasters, like the flooding in Nepal, happen every day, goals to reduce emissions remain too low, and funding for climate action is cut across the board. New ambition is needed. New commitments, both to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to fund multilateral climate finance, are needed. 2025 was a disappointing year, but there are some bright spots as well. Can this COP - hosted by Türkiye and with negotiations chaired by Australia - meet the moment? We provide analysis and a state of play going into the primary forum for multilateral, international climate policy.
